Special Needs Kids and Their Parents Connect Group

Kid Break is a new blog designed to connect parents, friends and caregivers of special needs children.  Our goal is for kids to special needs kids to have somewhere safe to hang out while their own parents take a short break or go on vacation.  Kid Break started when some friend of mine could not go on a vacation she won in a raffle to Florida. It would have been her first vacation in 14 years. She would not leave her child behind for that long in her state of Pennsylvania.  We found a loving retired couple in Florida who were more than willing to provide daycare and support.  They had both been Special Needs Nurses.
